“As a result of the Pandemic, more business innovation has been generated within the last 2 years than at any other time in our History”
Considered “the most sought-after accolades” by organisations from every sector in the region, the Sussex Business Awards celebrate outstanding achievements of the county’s business community. The competition amongst nominees was significant heightened this year as the independent panel of judges considered how prospective winners had pivoted in response to the events of 2020 – 2021.
The Innovation in Business Award was presented by the Sussex Innovation Centre, who’s spokesperson opened the presentation ceremony by acknowledging the high calibre of businesses shortlisted within a particularly competitive category:
“The Pandemic has generated more business innovation to occur within the last 2 years than at any other time in our History.”
RaceNation were presented with this prestigious award in recognition of our ability to unlock millions more in donations for charity partners via our integrated event registration and fundraising technology, and for enabling the challenge event industry to remain operational throughout lockdown through the launch of virtual event features.
Nigel Lambe, spokesperson for Sussex Innovation Centre credited RaceNation for “transforming [our] business model to create new revenue streams and for taking the time, effort, and in some cases ‘hard cash’ to ensure [our] customers had something to return to post pandemic. It was so successful that, although some restrictions are still in place, they have gone from a place of 0 revenue to surpassing pre-pandemic levels.”
RaceNation were honoured to have also been selected by the judges as a finalist for the “Business of the Year” category.
