City of Gloucester 10K Run Scenic City 10K 
Welcome to the City of Gloucester 10K Run in the beautiful and historic City of Gloucester, in the South West of England. The City of Gloucester 10K Run will be inaugurated on Sunday 19th May 2019. The real beauty of this challenge and although this event is for runners of all abilities Charity, recreation runners, Club runners and Elite athletes. The course is flat and fast and gives participants the chance to try for a personal best time whilst enjoying a spectacular sight seeing tour taking place in the summer. The City 10K gives a perfect excuse for friends and family to cheer runners on. This is an opportunity to visit the historic Cathedral or simply enjoy some refreshments after the race in a cafe or bar in Gloucester or visit the famous Gloucester Quays shopping centre.

The Route

The course is Traffic Fee The route is one small lap followed by one large lap which is flat and fast and gives participants the chance to try for a personal best time. The finish is in Gloucester Park via Spa Road. The route is traffic free we have a Highways Management Contractors to under take the road closure for the City Of Gloucester 10k which as necessitate the entry fee.

Timing

We have employed FR Systems to undertake the chip timing for the race. Your chip will be in your race number. This company has undertaken the result service for the Nation Radio Cardiff 10K which has 10,000 competitors. Your race number and chip plus information concerning parking on race day will be sent out 2 weeks prior to the race.

Refreshments will be available in Gloucester Park close to the finish location.

An athlete can only win one prize in the open race. If any Veteran athlete finishes in the first three positions they will be given the Individual Prize

1st Vet 0/40, 1st Vet 0/50 1st vet 0/60, 1st Vet 0/70, 0/80 Men/Women 

Presentation of Awards
The first three individuals for under 11 - under 13 under 15 years boys and girls will receive prizes.
This will take place in the finish location as soon as the first under 11-15yrs events 2k run has finished. Once the first three wheelchair entrants / individual men and women and first three individual men and woman in the 10k open race have finished we wil award their prizes as soon as possible after they have finished.

Once the first Veteran Category 0/40, 0/50, 0/60, 0/70, 0/80 have finished they will be awarded there Individual Category prizes,

If a Veteran athlete Men and Women finishes in the first three Individual positions they will be awarded the Individual prize. No Athlete can win two prizes in the open race. Any athlete who wins a prize it must be collected on the day of the race. The prize will not be sent out in the post.

Closing date
Friday 17th May 2019 12 Noon unless race limit is reached 3000 participants which is every reached the first. Entries will not be allowed on the day.
