Jersey Mencap South Coast Charity Challenge - Sunday 20th May 2018

Fundraise with your feet for Jersey Mencap whilst enjoying the stunning south coast of Jersey. This sponsored, charity walk is approximately 15 miles in distance with the aim of raising awareness and funds for people with a learning disability in Jersey.

Start: Sunday 20th May 2018 at La Rocque between 8.30am-9.30am.  Please be respectful of the start time as special permissions have been granted in line with our event times. We are unable to start any earlier than 8.30am.

There is very limited parking at La Rocque so we suggest particants arrange a lift or park in St Helier and then use the No.1 bus from Liberation Bus station which leaves at 9am - this will bring you to La Rocque in good time.   Liberty Bus will kindly be providing a free bus servcie from the finish line at Corbiere - this shuttle service will make stops at St Aubin and St Helier.

This event has been running for 11 years and regularly attracts 500-600 entrants. Jersey Mencap supports children and adults with a learning disability in Jersey and are reliant on this fundraising event to keep their projects going.  To learn more about learning disability and or Jersey Mencap please see our website

Online registration closes 13th May.

Registered walkers will be able to collect their goody bag on Wednesday 16th May from midday-5.30pm from Beresford Street Kitchen cafe.

In your goody bag, you will receive a scanning card that you will need to bring with you to be scanned at each checkpoint. Please note: This is not a timed event; the scanning cards are used for health and safety purposes only, and not for official timing

Bag transfer: The Land Rover Club will kindly transfer partcipants bags from the start to Bel Royal and then onto the finish line.

Checkpoints: Havre des pas, Bel Royal, St Aubin (close to the parish hall), St Brelade (by the monument in front of St Brelade church).

Although, light refreshments will be available at checkpoints we ask all participants to arrive prepared with their own supply of water/snacks.  The challenge is approximately 15 miles.

Each checkpoint will be manned by our lovely volunteers who are there to help ensure the smooth running of the event.

Photographers will be there to record your achievement and pictures will be posted on our Facebook and website pages.
