We have once again set ourselves ambitious targets this year for Guernsey’s premier community sponsored event. We are seeking to break past records in terms of both the numbers of those participating on the day and the amounts that we can raise for our Bailiwick charities. So PLEASE join us to make this a year to remember and help us meet our target of 1,000 walkers and 50 relay teams on the day.
If you are thinking of visiting us from the UK or beyond, there really is no better way to get to know our beautiful island and experience this incredible community event.
The Walk passes around some of the most beautiful scenery in Guernsey – sunrise at Jerbourg, views from our amazing cliff paths, passing the golden sandy beaches and offshore rocks of the west coast and concluding with magnificent views across to France, Herm and Sark as you come down the east coast. Completing the Walk is an experience in itself but to combine it with raising funds for local good causes makes it a truly worthwhile achievement.
For those who feel 39 miles may be a step too far, we are once again inviting relay teams of between 4 and 7 members to share the load and complete the walk collectively. More details are on our web site - www.safferyrotarywalk.com
We do hope you will be inspired to take part in Guernsey’s finest walk. Your contribution to our fundraising effort would also be very much appreciated by the charities within the Bailiwick supported by the 2019 Walk. Our costs of staging the event are met by our generous corporate sponsors so every pound of sponsorship that you raise goes to the charities without deduction. The Saffery Rotary Walk website provides all the information needed for those wishing to walk and those who simply wish to support.
Remember that in registering for the Walk, you are agreeing to support those specific charities which have successfully applied to the organisers for funds. The Walk is not intended as a vehicle to raise funds for other charities.
