Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust launches ‘The Durrell Challenge 2017’, a 13k road race held in Jersey, Channel Islands, a Superhero Stroll within the park itself, followed by a family entertainment day at Jersey Zoo on 14th May 2017. Have a fun day out whilst raising funds for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Can you ‘Do it for Durrell’?
The Superhero Stroll - The day will kick off with the Superhero Stroll will start at Noon and finish shortly after within Jersey zoo. Stamps can be collected to be exchanged for a Raffle ticket where you could win a chance to meet Henry. All those entered will automatically receive free entry into the Family Fun Day. Please note to book tickets for your family and friends to gain access into the park, you will need to follow the link sent to you in your race entry confirmation email.
13k Road Race - The day continues with a timed 13K road race, runners will start in St. Helier and finishing at Jersey Zoo. Organisers are encouraging people of all abilities to take part to raise valuable funds for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Henry Cavill, our Race Ambassador will be supporting the event and have a presence on the day. All those entered for the 13K race will automatically receive free entry into the Family Fun Day, as the race finishes in Jersey Zoo. Please note to book tickets for your family and friends to gain access into the park, you will need to follow the link sent to you in your race entry confirmation email. For those of you who register for the VIP entry you must raise at least £1,000 and use a Just Giving fundraising page to do this.VIP fundraisers will get the opportunity to meet Henry and have a scheduled photograph. Also enjoy a welcome drink and a light buffet.
Family Fun Day - After the race Jersey Zoo will be open to all (including Superhero Strollers and the 13k runners) for a unique opportunity to experience pop-up stalls showcasing the best Jersey has to offer. In the beautiful setting of Jersey Zoo there will be plenty of entertainment, including being able to meet with the keepers, learn more about conservation and see the animals.
