The Hawksford Castle Chase 2017

Before you Enter

To take part in the Hawksford Castle Chase you must be OVER 16 years old and in good health. The race is over the sand at low tide and there will be rocks and other natural obstacles from the tide.

The race will take place at lunchtime of 6 September while the tide is low starting at noon.

About

The Hawksford Castle Chase is a two-person relay event like no other. You'll each be racing from the shore out to Elizabeth Castle and back, a short but challenging distance of 2 miles across the sand at low-tide.

You’ll be racing to support local charity Jersey Heritage’s Love Your Castle campaign, helping to fund restoration of this iconic Jersey landmark and all the money raised will go to the Elizabeth Castle restoration fund.

Race Details

Relay Member One - Races from the shoreline to the Parade Ground and back - this is two miles. A timing 'baton' will be handed to Relay Member Two in a transition area..
